Updated wordpress to 2.5

Updated wordpress to 2.5.  Hopefully it hasn’t broken the LJ crosspost plug-in…

Update:

The only noticeable SNAFU in the upgrade seems to be the substitution of some odd character substitutions for punctuation.  Although they were not re-crosscposted to LJ so it is only showing up on the main site.  I can live with that…

Update 2:

The problem is the original install encoded in latin1 while the upgrade uses utf-8.  I looked at the process of Converting Database Character Sets .  It isn’t particularly well documented but it looks more time consuming then difficult.  I will just wait for a script or update to g30rg3_x converter plug-in.  It is definitely not compatible with version 2.5.  It truncated several of my posts. Fortunately I heeded the backup warnings first…

How do you like the new dashboard? They upgraded WordPress.com and a lot of people complained about it. I think it’s okay, but I’m not crazy about the new color scheme, so I went back to the old one.

I like the new interface. It seems intuitive enough… I am not crazy about the front-end of wp. I have never found a template (at least not a free one) that I really like and I have not had the time to sharpen my coding skills to make or modify a template to my liking.

Had the LJ crossposter break on me when I upgraded. So I got the updated version. Now I crosspost like mad. :)
