I have to admit there is some stuff I wanted to blog about in this very public forum that my very smart wife convinced me I should be the bigger person. Not easy, but it is the right thing to do. Honestly day 2 has been mostly wonderful. We started out flying a kite. I went for a 7 mile run at super slow pace. But that was the first time I have run barefoot on sand in a year, plus I was relaxing and enjoying the view.
We had a fun day on the beach. Ran into some old friends from the boys’ preschool who moved last year. Showered and went to Tuscan Grill in Rehobeth. It is fairly inexpensive, rarely busy, and the food, at least the 2 times we have been there, has been wonderful. Afterwards we headed to Fun Land where the boys had a wonderful time riding the rides. OK not just the boys, I may have enjoyed the bumper cars.
Before we headed to Funland I suggested we walk on the boardwalk there. If there is anywhere I can test if I have my fear of birds under control, it’s the Rehobeth boardwalk. Though surprisingly, there weren’t many out. But on my run I did get close to several seagulls that did NOT set my heart racing. We shall see how I do on the next Rehobeth trip.
